For almost 2 years, we have worked on a substantial evolution of the Superman model, by bringing technical improvements and a modernized architecture to this legendary YEMA model, while preserving its iconic design
BEZEL & BEZEL-LOCK NEW ARCHITECTURE
The bezel-lock, the Superman’s centerpiece which design was patented a long-time ago, and the crown tube have been redesigned to ensure a smoother operation and that the bezel-lock stays securely in place.
The bezel and the crown have also been redesigned. New micro drilling in strategic areas of the case right under the bezel allows for optimized rotation of the bezel click spring and a more precise alignment of the bezel insert.
ENHANCED WINDING CROWN
The winding crown's architecture has been completely reviewed. The crown tube and the winding stem have been modified to provide a smoother operation of the various pull-out crown positions and rotating directions when adjusting the caliber functions. When winding and setting the time of the Superman, the improved crown provides a feeling of stability and quality.
A new arrangement of the winding crown seals makes the Superman benefit from a 3 bars water resistance with the crown unscrewed. This enables bezel rotation on the water surface before starting a scuba diving descent, to ensure accurate dive times.
MORE RESISTANT DOUBLE DOMED SAPPHIRE CRYSTAL
The new double domed sapphire crystal offers better readability, increased resistance and a resolute vintage look.
The crystal has been reduced by 0.3mm on its height and widened by 0.6mm on its outside diameter so as to provide a better seating in the case, while preserving its 2.6mm in thickness and the beautiful magnifying effect when looking through it from an angle.
50 ATM CASE BACK
The 316L stainless steel case back thickness has been increased from 1.5mm to 2.2mm so as to achieve a 50 ATM water resistance.
YEMA's historic crest, embossed with a hydraulic press, is now treated by various microblasting processes, which results in a more accurate and precise finishing.
SUPER-LUMINOVA GRADE A
The markers, hands and bezel are treated with Super-LumiNova BGW9 Grade A to ensure increased readability.
The bezel’s luminescent marker at 12 o’clock and the luminescent arrow-shaped minute hand provide scuba divers with an accurate indication of dive times in poor visibility conditions at the greatest depths.
YEMA2000 IN-HOUSE CALIBER "NO-DATE"
YEMA2000 In-house Caliber "No-Date" Maximum rate of +/- 25 seconds per day Adjusted to +/- 10 seconds per day by our watchmakers before and after assembly. This YEMA2000 "No-Date" version has no date nor phantom date position on the crown.
Thanks to a new movement holder design, our In-house Caliber offers increased resistance to shocks and vibrations.
MYSTERIOUS BLUE DIAL & BEZEL
The date complication removal allows a sleek and harmonious dial design with perfectly symmetrical elements while enhancing readability.
Deep, mysterious and distinguished, the aluminum bezel and matte dial colors change from dark blue with a navy undertone to a blue-black metallic hue, depending on light exposure.
